A Tennessee Promise
Oct 4 @ 6:30 pm
A Tennessee Promise @ Townsend | Tennessee | United States

BPG Member Jerry Park announces his latest book: My new book, A Tennessee Promise, will be launched at Parnassus on the evening of Thursday, October 4, at 6:30. We’ll have a 30-minute or so slide show of a few dozen of the images, and I’ll read a couple of the short stories.

As a brief description of what’s in store in the book, here’s what we’ve put together for the stores and distributors:

In A Tennessee Portrait, bestselling author Jerry Park returns with camera and pen to the meandering back roads of the state where his first book, Slow Roads Tennessee, was birthed. With a variety of cameras this time, Park shows us a fresh way to look at timeless scenes. Photographs of farmland, forests, creeks and small towns fill the pages along with a handful of the quirky, funny things that people do when they’re not trying to impress anyone. And, as in Slow Roads Tennessee, Park shares tales that some of the images inspired, short stories and poems of one to eight pages each. 121 photos – including at least one from each of our 95 counties – 12 short stories, and 3 poems in total. Two years and over 10,000 wandering miles in the making, A Tennessee Portrait offers a unique combination of image and word to anyone who appreciates heritage, beautiful scenery, and a good yarn.

Photo Tours and Classes

Jim Zuckerman

Jim Zuckerman Photo Tours

My philosophy in leading photo tours is simple. The pictures are paramount. The people who travel with me know they will take the best pictures of their lives. My trips are not relaxing, however. We usually get up early and often stay out late, depending on the light. We deal with heat, cold, dust, and sometimes long drives on bad roads, but it’s all to take great photographs.
