Member Benefits

Seminars by Experts

The first Tuesday of each month, the membership meets to share their photography, discuss technical and aesthetic concerns and to attend a presentation conducted by an expert in the photography and related businesses. These guest speakers provide a seasoned look at areas such as wildlife, floral, portrait and still life photography, as well as journalism, marketing and exhibition print making. The images they show and the expertise they offer create a springboard for member exploration of their own work.

Photography Basics Classes

These 30 minute classes held before our monthly meetings, are designed for beginners who wish to build a firm foundation in their photography.

The Answer Booth

For 30 minutes before each monthly meeting, we have experts on hand to answer any photography-related questions you might have (cameras, equipment, software, etc).

Mini Clinics

All members of the Brentwood Photography Group are entitled to attend the monthly Mini Clinic meetings held the second Thursday evening of each month at the Brentwood Public Library. There is no additional fee to attend. Meetings focus on a variety of topics (critiques, software demonstrations, photography careers, etc).

Lunch Bunch

Lunch Bunch is held the third Monday of each month at 11:00 am, and led by Dick Dougall. The focus is on members getting to know each other and having constructive critiques and discussions about their photography and their personal images.  See the Lunch Bunch page for more information and please email the organizer if you plan to join either event, so the appropriate reservation size can be made.

Photography Exhibits

During the year, members have the opportunity to showcase their work in various exhibits around the state and southeast region.

Outings and Activities

During the year, the club organizes monthly photo outings for members. Some of these are education-based field trips led by a recognized authority in photography. Other outings are just an opportunity for members to get together and shoot a specific subject.  Sites have included downtown Nashville, state parks, abandoned factories, festivals, and classic automobiles.
